BGNow Privacy Policy

BGNow helps background performers and authorized casting or agency users coordinate opportunities, applications, bookings, set-day information, and related work records. This policy explains the information BGNow processes and the controls available to users.
Information BGNow processes
Depending on how you use BGNow, information may include account and authentication details, performer profile information, agency or casting membership information, job applications and booking status, production and set-day details you enter, payment-tracking information you choose to record, notification preferences and push-subscription identifiers, support or safety reports, and technical security or audit information needed to operate and protect the service.
How information is used
BGNow uses this information to provide account access; show relevant opportunities; process applications and bookings; prevent booking conflicts; keep records synchronized across devices; deliver requested alerts; support SETDAY and completed-work features; protect account and organization boundaries; diagnose failures; and maintain security, reliability, and abuse-prevention controls.
Sharing and role boundaries
BGNow limits information according to account role and workflow. For example, an authorized Queen Bee may receive information needed to manage its own postings and applicants, but performer-private SETDAY, payment, voucher, and unrelated account data are not intended to be exposed to agencies. BGNow does not make performer records available to unrelated organizations merely because they use the service.
Location and navigation
BGNow can display production, holding, parking, shuttle, or other addresses supplied with a booking and may offer links to third-party navigation services. BGNow does not require continuous precise-device-location tracking to maintain your account or booking records.
Notifications
If you enable browser or device notifications, BGNow stores the technical subscription information required to send those notifications. You can disable notifications through BGNow where available and through your device or browser settings.
Account deletion and retention
Eligible signed-in users can initiate permanent account deletion from within BGNow. Account-linked records are deleted or detached according to BGNow's database relationships and operational requirements. Limited records may be retained or de-identified where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute handling, system integrity, or legal obligations.
Security
BGNow uses authenticated sessions, role-based access controls, server-side authorization checks, transport encryption, and other operational safeguards. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as BGNow's features, legal obligations, or data practices change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are published.
